Hi, I’m Niklas, a programmer from Germany and the developer of the productivity app 1Focus .

I created Parental Control in 2021 after receiving many requests from parents in the 1Focus community. They wanted one thing above all: password protection—so settings like screen time limits, app blocking, and website blocking could not simply be disabled or changed by their children.

Parental Control is a dedicated Mac app for families. It helps you protect your children from inappropriate content and create clear, consistent boundaries for app use and web browsing. It can also be useful for adults who want to avoid impulsive changes, so they cannot easily remove or disable their own restrictions.
